***COVID-19 Protocols and Temporary Hours of Operation***

As of March 23rd, Governor Brown’s Executive Order 20-10 requires veterinary clinics and hospitals to postpone non-urgent medical procedures that use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as surgical gloves, masks, and gowns until June 15, 2020, in trying to reduce the risk of exposure to our clients and staff and adhere to Executive Order 20-10, we will be scheduling all elective and non-emergency surgeries and dental cleanings until after this date. Any urgent procedures will still be scheduled on an as needed basis, so we can still provide the best care for your pets.

Being that we are part of the “essential workers” group, our clinic will still be open for any prescription refills, food orders, exams, and urgent medical procedures, but we do have reduced hours of operation. We strive to be here as best as we can for our clients, while also keeping you and our staff as happy and healthy as possible. To do this, we have come up with a protocol that will allow us to see and treat your pets, and still practice proper “social distancing” during these trying times.

If you would like to schedule an exam or pick up any food or prescriptions, we have two options, depending on your personal preference:

  1. Curbside Service – We will go out to your car and escort your pet(s) inside for any exams or procedures, collect payment for service or products, and/or bring any food/prescriptions out to you while you wait in your car. All communication prior to and during any appointments will be done over the phone, and a technician can go over any and all medications and instructions when we bring your pet(s) back to you and for signatures on credit card transactions.
  2. In-Clinic Service – You may opt to continue to come into your appointments or pick up your food and prescriptions, as usual, but we ask that you still call us when you arrive and we will instruct you to come in when we have      everything ready. Our technicians will still come into the exam rooms and take history as we’ve always done, but clients are to remain in the exam room until a staff member instructs otherwise. We are trying to eliminate client-to-client interactions inside the clinic, and minimize direct interactions with staff. Please know our staff will all be wearing face masks for yours and our protection, in the event you would like to come inside the building.

**PLEASE DO NOT COME IN FOR ANY APPOINTMENTS OR TO PICK UP FOOD OR PRESCIRPTIONS IF YOU ARE FEELING ILL OR SOMEONE IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD IS ILL. We are happy to reschedule any appointments for your pets for when you are feeling better and off the quarantining protocol for exposed individuals, as recommended by the Oregon Health Authority. We can also mail medications, if needed, but there will be an additional shipping cost. You can also order your prescriptions through our online pharmacy, and they will be shipped directly to you. Our staff is working double time to see and treat your pets and also cleaning and sanitizing the clinic throughout the day, to help make sure you and your pets stay as safe and healthy as we can.

Our temporary hours of operation are:

Monday- Friday: 9am-4pm

Saturday: 10am-3pm

Thank you for your continued understanding and cooperation while we try and move forward during this difficult time in our country. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Take Care and Be Safe,

Town and Country Animal Clinic Staff
